Challenge

As a part of their Customer Social Responsibility Program in 2013, Pertamina Shipping threw an exhibition and trade show to educate more about Pertamina. The challenge was how to engage with their audience as lively as possible.

Insight

Creating merchandise that promote the brand's identity would strengthen the corporate's relationship with its potential customers even when products is not around.

Result

Keeping the brand's identity, we created simple yet useful, handy and easy merchandises as the guests came from various backgrounds such as the government, professionals, and students.

Client

Shipbuilding activities in Pertamina has been structured into the shipping division in 1959, marked by the acquisition of two units of low draft-sized tanker of 3,200 DWT through BBHP system of PT Caltex. Presidential Decree No. 44 dated December 6, 1975 rearrange shipping activities in the Directorate of Shipping and Telecommunications.

Subsequently, on March 15, 1990, Presidential Decree No. 11 resulted in the formation of the Directorate of Shipping, Ports and Communications which later became PT Pertamina (Persero) Directorate of Marketing and Business - Shipping in 2004.

With the demands of future developments that make the company a leading, growing and respected internationally as the company's vision, the company also aims to set up a professional logistics service in the provision of oil, gas, petrochemical and other refined products.

On the other hand, the company also aims to make the added value for shareholders by focusing on delivering the best service by keeping and maintaining the surrounding natural environment. To achieve these missions, the company has created a corporate culture better, build a new corporate image and apply the principles of transparency, good corporate governance and internal control systems are appropriate.

At present, the company has had more than 50 tankers with various types and operates more than 180 tankers, which vary from type Bulk Lighter (BL) to the Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCC). Dedicated tonnage to transport more than 85 million Longton cargo per year.

As an added value in addition to the main business of the above, the company also has set up and developed a wide range of businesses such as Shipbuilding, Charter / Boat Hire, Maritime Service which concentrates on Pengagenan Shipbuilding and Ship Repair.
